As members of the Congregation Beth Israel community, we come to you with a shared sense of responsibility and concern for the safety and security of our sacred space.
Recent events have underscored the unfortunate rise in hatred, bigotry, and violence targeting Jewish communities. Our synagogues, community centers, and schools are not immune to these threats.
We have launched the Congregation Beth Israel Securing Our Community campaign to address these concerns. This initiative aims to implement comprehensive security measures to ensure the safety of our members, guests, and the sacred spaces we hold dear.
Introducing a perimeter fence will compliment and reinforce the longstanding security measures in place, providing a visible and tangible layer of protection. While the existing security measures may have effectively operated in the background, a physical barrier signifies a proactive commitment to deterrence and control. By supporting this need, you are contributing to the safety of our congregation and reaffirming the strength of our community and our commitment to one another.

A perimeter fence serves as a visible and effective deterrent, helping to create a secure environment for worship, education, and community gatherings. It will provide controlled access points, allowing us to monitor better and regulate entry, enhancing the overall safety of our community members.
