Ambassador Ron Dermer Welcomes “Israel at 70” Guests

On Sunday, October 21, 2018, Congregation Beth Israel hosted the program “Israel at 70: Reaching Out to the World.”

Rabbi David Lyon welcomed the community and introduced Consul General of Israel to the Southwest Gilad Katz, who gave a warm introduction. Ambassador Ron Dermer, Israel’s Ambassador to the United States, gave his address via video, in which he praised the spirit of this event.

Our guests experienced an exciting afternoon of inspiring, educational presentations that shined a light on 10 impactful Israeli organizations doing incredible work in the fields of medicine, agriculture, sustainable development, emergency response, and disaster recovery. Participating organizations included:
