The Social Justice Committee

The Social Justice Committee 1

Jews know the value of compassion and community; our laws and history teach us the importance of welcoming strangers and respecting neighbors.

One of our newest standing committees at Congregation Beth Israel is the Social Justice Committee (formerly known as ABIDE), which focuses on our path to social and ethical justice for all.

The Social Justice committee members organize events and programs in collaboration with community organizations to strengthen connections between diverse groups and improve daily life for others. We promote education, compassion, partnership and understanding.

If you are interested in working with this committee, please contact one of the co-chairs, Dena Marks and Lisa Stone
