Beth Israel invites you to become a part of our congregational family and enjoy a wide range of services and programming designed to meet our members’ myriad needs. The benefit of a large, well-established congregation is the ability for everyone to find their niche, whether for support and fellowship, or volunteer opportunities and spiritual growth. By getting involved, each of us can build meaningful and lasting relationships. The synagogue is the place that we turn to for our most meaningful moments in life – we hope that you will embrace Beth Israel as an extension of your family so that we may share those special times together.

You’re always welcome to join us for services or attend a class. When you’re here, feel free to stop any of us and ask questions. We’ll provide you with a New Member packet, answer questions, and help you determine if Congregation Beth Israel is the right congregational home for you and your family. Here on our website, you’ll find details on our many exciting programs, activities, and worship opportunities for every age and interest. It is your link to all that is happening at Beth Israel.

The Hurricane Harvey Flood Fund

Hurricane Harvey left Houston and surrounding areas in a shambles, but the great people of Houston are banding together to help and heal. Your help is welcome and needed. You may send Gift Cards (Kroger, Target, HEB, Lowe’s, or Visa/Mastercard, etc.) to Congregation Beth Israel. They will be immediately distributed to area neighbors to assist in replacing essential items and children’s school supplies.

You may also Donate directly to Congregation Beth Israel by clicking here. All funds will go directly to aid those who need immediate help. These funds will NOT be held to be allocated later. On behalf of our clergy (Rabbi David Lyon, Rabbi Adrienne Scott, Rabbi Joshua Herman, Rabbi Chase Foster, and Cantor Trompeter), David Scott, Executive Director, and Bruce Levy, Temple President, we are very grateful for your kindness, generosity, and help.

Hurt has no shame and no label; we just need to heal one another.

Rabbi David Lyon
