DESCRIPTION:  \nGo beyond the basics of Judaism with David Scott\, RJE! Join him in the Lewis President’s Room over lunch to focus on a particular topic\, including the deeper understandings of Creation\, family conflicts and resolution\, and discussions of slavery and redemption. Using ancient sources\, we will come to a modern understanding of these timeless themes. We will use selections from our early rabbinic writings\, known as midrash\, and also explore other biblical texts in addition to the Torah. If you’ve always wanted to learn more about Judaism but didn’t know where to start\, then this class is for you! Lunch will be provided.
