For many young people, the teen years are filled with a yearning for a spiritual identity all their own. At the end of tenth grade in our Religious School, our youth celebrate Confirmation, a reaffirmation of their commitment to live as Jews. A special ceremony is held at the end of the school year on Shavuot, the festival that marks the receiving of the Torah by Moses at Sinai. This marks another major passage for students in Religious School. They may also choose to continue their Jewish education through the 12th grade.
