B'rit Milah

As you plan for the arrival of a beautiful baby into your life and home, be sure to contact the temple for help identifying a mohel; securing a venue for the b’ris or baby naming ceremony; planning the b’ris or naming ceremony and timing according to Jewish custom; and to involve our clergy in this most special of events. A b’ris is traditionally held on the eighth day of a child’s life. A baby naming for our daughters is often held on the eighth day, as well, but may be scheduled any time. As soon as your baby arrives, please contact one of our clergy at (713) 771-6221 or , ascott@beth-israel.org, mmiller@beth-israel.org, or rgerber@beth-israel.org.
