Making a Planned Gift
For many people, making a gift to Congregation Beth Israel takes the form of writing a check. There are many other ways of making a gift, some even more beneficial to the donor. Gifts of appreciated securities, personal property, or real estate are planned gifts. Many congregants choose to include a gift to Congregation Beth Israel in their estate plans. To know which type of gift is appropriate for you and your family, we suggest that you consult your legal and/or financial advisor. Your advisor will be able to determine whether a bequest, a charitable trust, a gift of a life insurance policy or other gift vehicle is best for you. A gift in your will involves little sacrifice in the present, but guarantees our Jewish future. Our legacy, indeed our responsibility, is to follow in the footsteps of our predecessors, keeping our synagogue vibrant for our children and grandchildren.
