New Family Shabbat Dinner and Service – January 22nd at 6:00 p.m.
Announcing a new Shabbat program at Beth Israel, designed specifically for families with elementary age children. Our evening will include dinner, an age-appropriate Shabbat service, fun activities, and a special dessert treat. Our hope is that you will join us once a month to experience the joy, serenity, and celebration of Shabbat. It will be a great time to meet new people, relax with old friends, and take advantage of a full Shabbat experience with your family.
Family Shabbat will generally be the 4th Friday night of each month, and our first one is January 22, 2010. Rabbi Miller will lead the festivities this month in the Ladin Dining Room and Margolis Gallery. We’ll begin with a nice dinner (from Fadi’s) at 6:00 pm, and the evening will be finished by 8:00 pm. RSVPs are required so that we can order enough food, so please call our RSVP line at (713) 271-4012 and leave your name, the event, and the number of people coming. The cost for dinner is $12 for adults and $6 for children. Siblings are welcome, but the activities will be planned with 5-10 year olds in mind.
Future Family Shabbat evenings will be February 26, March 26, April 23, and May 28.
