The next Coffee Talk, co-sponsored by the Schachtel Library, will be held on Sunday, March 26, 10:00 a.m. in the Schachtel Library. Susan Kaufman will give an introduction to Jewish Genealogy. CEMETERY SECURITY NOTICE

In light of the recent vandalism at Jewish cemeteries in St. Louis, Missouri and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, we are taking preemptive measures to minimize the vulnerability of our West Dallas Cemetery.  Effective immediately, the West Dallas Cemetery will be closed to visitors on Wednesdays. It will continue to be open, with an attendant on the grounds, Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. We will be regularly reviewing our need for further action to insure safety and to protect our sacred spaces. If you have any questions regarding this notice, please contact Cemetery Director, Kathy Parven at kparven@beth-israel.org or 713-771-6221 x310.

KEYS TO HEALTHY AGING
The WAYS Committee will be sponsoring an Amazing Place program on Healthy Aging at Congregation Beth Israel from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. on April 6th in Margolis Gallery. Join us for lunch as Health Services Director for Amazing Place, Sally Davis, RN MSN, will share her professional knowledge regarding how well we age. Everything from our genes, and lifestyle to our environment, can play a part in our aging process. Drawing from her experience as a research nurse at UT School of Nursing Center on Aging, and her Masters in Mental Health Nursing, Sally will discuss the seven habits that are most directly under our control in order to makes us happier and healthier as we move from one year to the next. There is no fee but please RSVP to Rabbi Adrienne Scott at hmiller@beth-israel.org.
